Trump reveals he picked National Football League team owner as ambassador to UK”

Donald Trump is a NY native and a huge sports fan, so it makes sense the president-elect has chosen Jets owner Woody Johnson as the next United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Trump referred to Johnson as "ambassador" during a speech at a luncheon in Washington, according to a report from Reuters. The great-grandson Johnson & Johnson founder Robert Wood Johnson, Woody has owned the New York Jets since 2000, when he bought the franchise for $635 million. A transition official later confirmed the announcement to CNBC.
