Romelu Lukaku hailed as 'world-class' by Everton boss Ronald Koeman”

Whether the Everton boss can get him to stay beyond this summer remains to be seen and he has not been shy in admitting that Lukaku one day deserves to play for one of the best clubs in the world.

Lukaku, still just 23, was on a higher level to nearly everyone else on the pitch and to his four goals - a left-foot curling shot from distance after 30 seconds, quick feet for a balletic dink, a measured volley after a one-two, and a rampaging blast - he added one brilliant assist.

Dutchman Koeman, whose side sit seventh after a run of seven games without defeat, was in shock after one of the most frantic games in Premier League history.

"We were comfortable at half-time, but Bournemouth did well, and we dropped our intensity".

Meanwhile, Lukaku believes that Everton - who have already claimed more points at home this season than they did for the entirety of 2015/16 - displayed their resilience by overcoming Bournemouth's spirited comeback.

"But we came out a lot better in the second half and from my perspective we have to focus on that and our determination to get back in the game".

"I don't want to look ahead too far, that is the mistake I did previous year. But even then, at 3-2 Bournemouth looked like the team that would win the game".

"You have two options: go in the realistic way, when I arrived we had the ninth budget along with Fulham and Aston Villa, or in football you have to set the targets high and you have to be close to silverware".

Steve Wilson: "A disappointing FA Cup exit aside, 2017 is going rather nicely for Everton - three wins (including the thrashing of Manchester City), one draw and only one goal conceded". "We'd worked on it on the training ground all week as well".

"We've had some new faces in the team [since] and everyone knows at the moment we have five very good midfielders in that position", he told the club's official website.

"But there was no lack of confidence".
