This means Amish Classic Colby deli horns with item numbers 55209, 110316V02, 110316V03, and 110316V04 are all being recalled.

No illnesses have been reported, according to the release.

Routine testing found listeria in a sample of Amish Classic Colby deli horn cheese.

Consumption of food contaminate with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, an uncommon but potentially fatal disease. It was not clear Friday evening whether the recalled cheese had been packaged under any brands other than Sargento, Meijer and Amish Classics. "We are in full cooperation with the federal Food and Drug Administration to rigorously investigate and resolve this issue".

The products were packaged at the Sargento plant in Plymouth, Wisconsin, and were distributed nationwide. In addition, customers may call Giant Food Customer Service at 888-469-4426.

Sargento Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese, 12 oz., UPC 4610000109 with sell-by date of 11JUN17B. All Meijer-branded "Colby Cheese" and "Colby Jack Cheese" sold in Meijer in-store deli counters are included in the recall. One of Meijer's suppliers sources cheese from Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC.

Those products include Sargento Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese, Sargento Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese, Sargento Chef Blends Shredded Taco Cheese, Sargento Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Colby-Jack Cheese, and Sargento Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Cheddar Jack Cheese.

The recalled product will be in plastic deli packaging with printed labels that have the UPCs 215927xxxxxx or 215938xxxxxx - the last 6 digits will vary, and are determined by weight since the product was purchased at the deli counter.
