Greg Maddux goes undercover for prank on Kris Bryant”

Cubs star third baseman Kris Bryant was unwittingly pranked by Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux while shooting a video for Red Bull in Las Vegas. Maddux threw nasty curveballs and when Bryant would watch one go by through the zone, Maddux would shrug and go "that was a strike".

My favorite part of this is after the reveal, when Bryant asks Maddux if he still wants his bat...and Maddux gives a deadpan "no" in response. What if the same sound guy offered to finish throwing batting practice to Bryant when the original pitcher had to leave, mysteriously early? We can't wait to see what's in store next for the reigning NL MVP. The thing about this sound guy, though, was that he was four-time Cy Young victor with 355 wins to his name.

"Don't hit me", said Bryant.

Bryant didn't take him seriously as first, but discovered that this new pitcher had quite the arm. Sound guy Maddox volunteered to step in, but Bryant was initially opposed to the idea. "Just make it out to Greg Maddux..."

Maddux, who played 11 seasons with the Braves, is now an assistant baseball coach at UNLV, where his son, Chase, is a sophomore pitcher.
