Father of child who interrupted BBC interview: "it's a comedy of errors"

Father of child who interrupted BBC interview:

Robert Kelly, the dad whose kids photobombed his live TV interview, says he made a big mistake while working from home - he forgot to lock his office door. "They're little kids and that's how things are", he said.

Following the interview, some suggested Mrs Kim was in fact the children's nanny, leading to discussions about how Asian woman are perceived. "I saw the video like everybody else and it's really amusing", he said. "I'm not the nanny - that's the truth - so I hope they stop arguing".

Robert had been weighing in on the political crisis in South Korea (where the family lives) when his daughter burst in, then his fast-moving 8-month old son sitting in a baby walker followed close behind. "It was chaos for me!"

Now dad of the hour Professor Robert E Kelly, from the department of political science at South Korea's Pusan National University, has spoken to the BBC (again) and said: "We were anxious actually that the BBC would never call us again".

He was, indeed, wearing trousers.

Kelly said he was concerned that BBC would never call him again so he emailed the channel to apologise.

Kelly said the family has watched the video and consider it "pretty hysterical. catching a regular family off-guard".

A few days back a BBC reporter took the internet by storm when his little children video bombed the live interview.

The young daughter's now-famous swagger, adorably described as a "hippity-hoppity mood" by Kelly, was inspired by a school party happening that day.

Kim also stated that she found it amusing watching it, despite the fact that during the initial interview she was flustered while trying to corral the children.

While Kelly initially declined the BBC's request to share the interview online, he eventually allowed the posting after the network had insisted it showed they were a normal family.

Jung-a added: 'I hope people just enjoy [the video], not argue over this.
